  • Age: This is for eight years old.
  • Year- group: 2nd Primary
  • Level of English:  Basic English (A-2). Our student are so young They haven’t got enough vocabulary, for this reason, They have to know and understand the familiar words related with mammals animals as well as habits, costumes or food for example.
  • Special needs: No
  • Social context It is a class of 19 pupils, which don’t have any  problems. The group is quite sociable and they like participating in the different activities that teachers propose.
  • Family: There are different types of pupils with different family’s structure like divorced, married

GOALS

The purpose of this lesson is: 
   -to revise  food, different types of food, the proporcions, whats is the healthiest and the least healty meals.
   -Be aware of the exactly amount of food that we need in our plate.
   -To understand why do we need to eat a varied and rich nutrive food.
   -Work their autonomy and learn to learn competency.
   -Use, be fluent and espontaneous when talking in English.

  • Classify food in: vegetables, fruit or meat.
  • Vocabulary related with meals
  • Nutritients that we need in each meal.
  • Work with games, and TICS in English.

Play twister with food. you have to listen in a careful way to put the correct hand, or foot in the correct color and  the correct food.
create:
create your own menu with differents conditions.
  • first plate using flags colours
  • second plate using some ingredients that come from plants.
  • using one product that have fibre
  • finally they have to create a dessert without fruit.


METHODOLOGY

Depending on the activity you have to work individually, in group or in pairs.


These activities take around one hour, so it takes  minutes per exercise.
But teachers should adapt time to the pupil's necessity.
